Conductor Jordan de Souza is internationally recognized for his dynamic leadership in both opera and orchestral music. Hailed by The New York Times as part of “the new generation leading Berlin’s classical music scene” and winner of an Opus Klassik award, he has appeared with major ensembles including the Philharmonia Orchestra, Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and Bavarian State Opera. In August 2025, he begins a new chapter as General Music Director of Theater Dortmund and Chief Conductor of the Dortmunder Philharmoniker.
Der Dirigent Jordan de Souza genießt internationales Ansehen für seine dynamische Arbeit im Opern- und Orchesterrepertoire. Von der New York Times als Teil der „neuen Generation, die Berlins Klassikszene anführt“ gefeiert und mit dem Opus Klassik ausgezeichnet, arbeitete er bereits mit renommierten Ensembles wie dem Philharmonia Orchestra, dem Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, der Lyric Opera of Chicago und der Bayerischen Staatsoper. Im August 2025 tritt er eine neue Aufgabe als Generalmusikdirektor des Theater Dortmund und Chefdirigent der Dortmunder Philharmoniker an.
